EMPOWERED STEPS:

Group Walk & Talk Therapy for Women and Non-Binary Folks 18+

Empowered Steps provides a unique and meaningful outdoor experience for women and women-aligned individuals to engage in healing, connection, and self-exploration while benefiting from movement and nature. Through guided discussions and reflection, participants will leave with a stronger sense of self and tools to continue their personal growth.

Duration:
6 weeks, 75-minute sessions (once per week)

  • Time walking will only be about 55-60 minutes. Additional time needed for group connection and group debriefing at the beginning and end of the walk.

Time: Mondays in the early evening. For confidentiality purposes, the specific timing of this group will be shared upon acceptance to the group. 

Location:
Outdoor walking path/trail in Sebago Lakes Region (Location will be shared upon acceptance to the group for confidentiality purposes). Difficulty: Easy

6-10 participants

Women and non-binary folks seeking support in strengthening identity, fostering connection, and healing from trauma while improving mental health in a supportive outdoor setting.

Who Is This Group For?
This group is ideal for women who are looking for a supportive, therapeutic space to explore their identity, process past experiences, and build resilience. It is especially beneficial for those who struggle with self-worth, setting boundaries, or feeling disconnected from themselves or others. Women who enjoy movement and nature as part of their healing process will find this walk-and-talk format particularly effective.

Overview:
Empowered Steps is a six-week group therapy program designed for women and non-binary folks to engage in guided discussions while walking in nature. The group will explore themes related to identity, connection, mental health, and healing. Walking side by side promotes openness and reduces the intensity of face-to-face conversations, creating a safe and supportive environment for participants to connect with each other and themselves.

  • Foster a sense of connection and support among women and women-aligned individuals.

  • Strengthen personal identity and self-worth.

  • Promote self-compassion and resilience in the healing process.

  • Encourage healthy boundaries and relationships.

  • Create a space for reflection and personal growth.
